It was the women who confronted Senator Flake and the many others that stalled the Kavanagh confirmation process. In particular, it was the courageous women that came forward and accused Kavanagh who have stopped the GOP in its tracks: A coalition of groups opposing Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination urged protesters to travel from throughout the U.S. to disrupt his Senate confirmation hearings this week, escalating the tension over President Donald Trump's pick for the high court.

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh made multiple false statements during his testimony on Thursday, ranging from incorrectly stating the legal drinking age in Maryland, to false claims about messages written in his yearbook, to mischaracterizing sworn statements from attendees at the party where he allegedly assaulted Christine Blasey Ford. Brett Kavanaugh's unhinged and belligerent testimony today proved he is unfit to sit on the supreme court. He filibustered questions. He whimpered like someone who was having a mental breakdown. Kavanaugh portrayed himself as the victim. His language was reminiscent of the person who nominated him, Donald Trump. He was petty and sarcastic. When asked about why he didn't call for an FBI investigation into the allegations against him. He evading the question repeatedly. At one point when the question by Senator Durbin he remained silent for a prolonged period of time. Bizarre. He lied about the drinking age. His "I was a virgin" defense is laughable and cynical. And portrayed his and fellow students' drinking as legal. He never mentioned the other person alleged to be in the other room, Mark Judge. Why?
Kavanaugh's behavior had all the hallmarks of a psychopath. He refused to accept any responsibility; lied repeatedly; attacked Democrats on the committee; talked in a conspiratorial manner. It's no wonder Trump praises him to high heaven. Allegations against him and along with his past record as a judge shows he's an evil person. He must be kept off the bench. Brett Kavanaugh's defenders are quick to question the veracity of sexual assault allegations made by at least 2 women directed at the supreme court nominee. But it's only the accusers who have welcomed an FBI investigation. Kavanaugh himself has dodged the question. The answer is very simple. Kavanaugh would probably be lying under oath. And all Republicans are very familiar with what happens when you lie to the FBI. The second woman coming forward to accuse Kavanaugh, Deborah Ramirez, even refused to testify before Congress without an FBI investigation: Deborah Ramirez, the second woman who came forward with sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, might not testify before Congress, her lawyer said Tuesday. Ford, from the beginning, has called for an FBI investigation. Attorneys for Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her when the two were in high school in the 1980s, say she wants "a full investigation by law enforcement officials" before she'll appear in a public hearing, according to a CNN report published Tuesday. If these two very accomplished women, who have no other motive than justice, are willing to risk perjury by calling for an investigation, why isn't judge Kavanaugh? Republicans are engaging in all kinds of rationalizations for why they think the FBI thing is a bad thing. I think we know who's lying.
Kavanaugh Friend Mark Judge Reportedly Admitted to ‘Taking Turns’ Having Sex With Drunk Girl9/24/2018 Seems like a pattern has been established here. Kavanaugh was part of a sexually depraved culture during his younger years. Not unusual among certain circles. It is the culture of entitlement among some well heeled youths: When Christine Blasey Ford publicly came forward with her sexual-assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, she named conservative writer Mark Judge as Kavanaugh’s alleged accomplice during the incident. Both Judge and Kavanaugh have denied Ford’s allegations; Judge also claimed that “no horseplay” occurred at the Georgetown Prep parties they attended. But, in a Sunday night report by The New Yorker, Judge’s ex-girlfriend of three years Elizabeth Rasor says he told her a “very different story” about those parties. Conservative Evangelical Leaders Want Senate to Dismiss Assault Charges and Confirm Kavanaugh Now9/22/2018 “One of the political costs of failing to confirm Brett Kavanaugh is likely the loss of the United States Senate,” said Ralph Reed, the founder of the Faith and Freedom Coalition who is in frequent contact with the White House. |
