CPAC has a GOP/Right Wing convention every year that is pretty offensive. This year it was more than. It seems, emboldened by Trump's reelection, has taken a new ugly turn. It is openly courting white supremacy, Neo-NAZIsm, and complete subservience to Donald Trump:

Three women who served in the Trump White House are sounding the alarm on what a second Donald Trump term could mean for the country, with one saying it could "mean the end of American democracy as we know it." "I have made clear that I strongly oppose Trump for the nomination and will not endorse Trump,â former Attorney General Bill Barr told NBC News. Asked how he would vote if the general election pits Trump against President Joe Biden, a Democrat, Barr said: âIâll jump off that bridge when I get to it." Another former chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, is among those who wants Trump defeated in the GOP primaries.
His former Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense don't think much of him either:
Senator VanHollen: "Textbook war crimes"
âSen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) accused Israel of a âtextbook war crimeâ in remarks on the Senate floor Monday. We forgot what's going on the border. Nothing has changed. The evil continues: The national shame that is America’s treatment of undocumented children continues to devolve into a literal nightmare. The U.S. government is currently responsible for some 13,000 migrant children, five times the number in custody as recently as last year, which now amounts to the largest population of immigrant minors in custody ever. As the time spent in detention as increased—from 34 to 59 days—the Department of Health and Human Services, which oversees the children’s care, has struggled to house the growing number of unaccompanied minors, most of whom share rooms of two or three in private foster homes or shelters, where they receive schooling as their cases slowly work their way through the system. President Donald Trump said he and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un “fell in love” over the course of their on-again off-again detente, hours after Pyongyang’s top diplomat said there was “ no way” the country would disarm under current conditions.
It was the women who confronted Senator Flake and the many others that stalled the Kavanagh confirmation process. In particular, it was the courageous women that came forward and accused Kavanagh who have stopped the GOP in its tracks: A coalition of groups opposing Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination urged protesters to travel from throughout the U.S. to disrupt his Senate confirmation hearings this week, escalating the tension over President Donald Trump's pick for the high court. A federal district judge in Washington ruled Friday that a group of nearly 200 Democratic senators and representatives have legal standing to sue President Donald Trump to prove he violated the U.S. Constitution’s emoluments provision banning the acceptance of gifts from foreign and domestic interests. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh made multiple false statements during his testimony on Thursday, ranging from incorrectly stating the legal drinking age in Maryland, to false claims about messages written in his yearbook, to mischaracterizing sworn statements from attendees at the party where he allegedly assaulted Christine Blasey Ford. Brett Kavanaugh's unhinged and belligerent testimony today proved he is unfit to sit on the supreme court. He filibustered questions. He whimpered like someone who was having a mental breakdown. Kavanaugh portrayed himself as the victim. His language was reminiscent of the person who nominated him, Donald Trump. He was petty and sarcastic. When asked about why he didn't call for an FBI investigation into the allegations against him. He evading the question repeatedly. At one point when the question by Senator Durbin he remained silent for a prolonged period of time. Bizarre. He lied about the drinking age. His "I was a virgin" defense is laughable and cynical. And portrayed his and fellow students' drinking as legal. He never mentioned the other person alleged to be in the other room, Mark Judge. Why?
Kavanaugh's behavior had all the hallmarks of a psychopath. He refused to accept any responsibility; lied repeatedly; attacked Democrats on the committee; talked in a conspiratorial manner. It's no wonder Trump praises him to high heaven. Allegations against him and along with his past record as a judge shows he's an evil person. He must be kept off the bench. Brett Kavanaugh's defenders are quick to question the veracity of sexual assault allegations made by at least 2 women directed at the supreme court nominee. But it's only the accusers who have welcomed an FBI investigation. Kavanaugh himself has dodged the question. The answer is very simple. Kavanaugh would probably be lying under oath. And all Republicans are very familiar with what happens when you lie to the FBI. The second woman coming forward to accuse Kavanaugh, Deborah Ramirez, even refused to testify before Congress without an FBI investigation: Deborah Ramirez, the second woman who came forward with sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, might not testify before Congress, her lawyer said Tuesday. Ford, from the beginning, has called for an FBI investigation. Attorneys for Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her when the two were in high school in the 1980s, say she wants "a full investigation by law enforcement officials" before she'll appear in a public hearing, according to a CNN report published Tuesday. If these two very accomplished women, who have no other motive than justice, are willing to risk perjury by calling for an investigation, why isn't judge Kavanaugh? Republicans are engaging in all kinds of rationalizations for why they think the FBI thing is a bad thing. I think we know who's lying.
